Controlled Engineering Solutions Pty Ltd possess internal staff who are Level 3 Approved Service Providers (ASP3).
Our ASP staff are registered with the NSW Power Authority, as this is a requirement to offer Level 3 ASP related services. Our respective staff are also Professional Engineers with the Institute of Engineers Australia.
Being a Level 3 ASP allows us to design electrical infrastructure located between the service provider and our private customer.
We are registered and approved to work on each of the Power Authority Distribution Networks, namely:
- The Endeavour Network
- The Essential Energy Network
- The AusGrid Network
Our private clients find our ASP3 Accreditation very helpful, as a lot of our new projects require interconnection. The ASP3 allows us to deliver the entire project in-house (design, installation & connection to the network) , greatly simplifying project management for our clients, as well as reducing costs.
ASP3 Contestable Network Services
We possess both Class 3A & Class 3B Accreditation, allowing us to work with:
- Evaluate cost estimations
- Relocating electrical assets
- Completion of concept designs
- Design of overhead & underground distribution networks
- Design of distribution substations
- Assisting with the application and submission for new connections, including maximum demand assessment
- Preparation of network plans as per the supply authorities standards for design
- Specification of equipment required to meet the supply authorities requirements
- Overhead line profiling
- Pole force calculations
- Stringing tables
- Cable route selection and installation (trenching / under boring)
- Easement surveys
- Street lighting designs in accordance with the supply authority standards, local council requirements and AS/NZS 1158
- Earth resistance testing
- Private installation cable and equipment specifications, including protection and fault analysis
- Prepare and manage detailed of network plans
- Equipment specifications & procurement
Environmental Impact Assessment
Current legislation required all Level 3 design works to include an Environmental Impact Assessment. This is a review of the ecology of the site and reporting of the effect of the proposed infrastructure on the environment.
Examples of matters for EIAs include soil testing, community management, statement of environmental effects, cost estimate reports and access & road work plans.
We understand our clients may be completing a Development Application (DA) with their respective council or land registrar, which also require varying forms of environmental assessments, so we will align our efforts to assist with this process.
